It says in Tehillim( Psalms)"עולם חסד ייבנה " the world "will be" built on kindness,good deeds.For the world to continue, to carry on to be worthwhile there has to be despite any darkness a constant flow of kindness, of goodness.
This cannot be done without giving and when you selflessly give you strengthen the world ,your connection with G-D the Master of all , your Master within shines and your life Divine unlimited life progresses
